Description of project
The Elbe Philharmonic Hall has captivating and unique architecture, built on top of an old warehouse in the harbour area of Hamburg.
More than 1,000 curved glass panels were used in the facades of the building, which was very challenging for the seals used. The seals used on the project included special silicon-compatible mixes of EPDM. Ten different extrusion tools were produced for the seal profiles.
The project also required the production of thousands of corner frames, which had to be produced in three different corner shapes. These were, like the other seals for the project, also highly complex
- Special EPDM mix
- 10 Extrusion tools
- Thousands of corner forms produced
