Description of project

Construction of the building started in 2015, to conclude in 2017, and the outstanding oval pearl design will make it one of Bangkok‘s future landmarks. The guiding principle during the design and construction of the building was the reduction of energy requirements, leading to energy consumption that is 18% below that of comparable tall buildings.

No effort was spared in the construction of the facade to improve its design and energy efficiency, which meant that the requirements on the geometry and quality of the seals were exacting. M+R delivered the facade seals for this very prestigious building to the leading facade construction company in Southeast Asia. Fourteen different profile geometries were used on this project. The project presented particular challenges in the areas of logistics and finance.
